Hi Megan
I wonder whether you were at UNE Armidale and were connected with Neil Marshall, Brian Dollery and others. Maybe you were one of the six authors of “Australian Local Government: An Annotated Bibliography; 1988-1998″?
Brian is my PhD supervisor and Neil a good friend.
Yes, I was at UNE and worked with Neil Marshall and Brian Dollery on the local government bibliography (yes I am one of the authors). Neil was PhD co-supervisor. Unfortunately, I’ve managed to lose touch with people in recent years.
I’m assuming you are doing your PhD on local government. Good luck with it.
Thanks Megan
Neil is at n.marshall@optusnet.com.au and retired in June 2009.
I have a copy of your thesis because Neil indicated it was one worthy of following in respect of format – so take a bow!
I hope to complete thesis in next three months. Topic is “Australian Local Government Council Amalgamations: A Case Study of Clarence Valley Council NSW Experience”. My “story” is at http://www.tiley.com.au
all the best
Ian
